500mm UHP Graphite Electrode
UHP graphite electrode are mostly made of 100% high-specification needle coke, which is calcined, kneaded, kneaded, pressed, roasted, graphitized and machined. According to the quality, it can be divided into ordinary power, high power and ultra-high power Graphite Electrode.
Compared with HP and RP grades, UHP electrode requires highest technical expertise in each of the main process steps in making them, particularly baking, extrusion and graphitizing. Ultra-high power graphite electrodes are mainly used in the steelmaking process of large capacity EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) and LF (Ladle Refining Furnace). UHP electrodes are impregnated with special pitch in the furnace to increase their strength and density.
